EDLD 5363 Week 5 Post-Production
What I can say about week 5 and about the whole EDLD 5363 class is that the production of this public broadcast announcement helped me understand how the structured process of producing a video following the steps we learned in this class was a key element on producing the best result possible. The interaction with my team was so helpful and intense that I consider that this was one of the classes that I have enjoyed the most. We were meeting on a weekly basis at least twice through out out Google doc and the information that we shared helped me tremendously. Yesterday, when I was reviewing the final product I was telling my wife how proud I was about how we worked together being so distant from each other and having only virtual meetings. This collaboration has a lot to be with developing the technology leadership to bring all these web 2 technologies directly into our classrooms.
EDLD 5363 Week 2 Web Conference
When implementation of new ideas is discussed, one of the first questions is how much it will cost to implement it. Whit the new era technologies and specially with the WEB, free software for evaluation and free limited time trials are available in order to make possible to evaluate the implementation of these new ideas with out having to pay even a single penny. As Siegchrist express in his article, some software is free and simple, some expensive and complex. You'll need to find a program that fits your editing style and your budget.(Siegchrist) Through this web conference, advantages of free software and free trial evaluation software advantages were exposed and clarified in order to increase our technology leadership. Recommending using these kind of software before buying to ensure that the implementation will be successful and produce desired result may impact schools finances positively by avoiding failed software purchases.

Avid Studio is an excellent video editing software that allows virtually anyone with minimal computer skills to manipulate, organize and agglutinate individual picture, video, and audio files as one unique video clip file. Long ago, when our best idea of having a beautiful story idea to be shared with as many as possible was to write it down and add some pictures and drawings .Today, we see our children playing with their toys and having a great idea, grabbing a digital camera filming it and using a software like iMovie to present their story and export the resulting mp4 file to You tube or Face book where other children from all arround the world can make comments and become followers of their videos. , “Software Adapt a Scene or Story: Similar to writing a new ending, Students do their version of a scene from an existing book, story or movie.”( Garrison, 2009)
One of the advantages of Avid Studio is that this product it is absolutely and completely compatible with all the user friendly Operative system features and provides users with easy and understandable menus and short cuts that allow people to access easily and efficiently all the video editing features that the software offers.
The experience of this video editing tool start with how easily its menus guide the user to start a new project and incorporating the events that are basically the pieces of video and pictures that will be used to edit and conform the final video clip product.
Other of the features that help user to enhance and organize well produced professional looking videos is the title, transitions tools that offers a series of all include effects screens that can be edited and modified according with the user needs in order to add titles, subtitles, transitions and texts to the video that is being edited.
